为企业提供服务的教练就是企业教练。
一、企业教练的来源
企业教练这个行业源于 80 年代后期的美国,正是美国从工业社会转型到知识型社会的年代,企业经理们发觉到以传统的工作模式无法解决企业的新问题,同时,也发觉到企业的商业环境每天都在快速地变化,而知识的更新速度和信息的爆炸使得企业在管理知识型员工方面遇到了诸多障碍,传统的顾问式管理无法提升企业的竞争力,如何适应日新月异的变化,如何令各类型的知识型的员工更有创造力,美国 AT&T, GE 等一些著名企业的经理们,他们借用了体育教练的概念,发展了企业教练的事业。 (具体可参阅本站另外一篇文章:《什么是NLP教练技术》)
二、企业教练技术的特点:
企业教练技术是包含着人类管理的智慧结晶,是一种开放和兼容的体系,是心理学、行为学、经济学、管理学等各门科学的综合应用,表现为有效对话技术和各类管理架构。
企业教练技术是一种开放的体系,可以融合任何社会科学、自然科学的成果,以适应管理的新需求。
三、企业教练的形式是什么?
可以分为专业企业教练机构和企业内部的教练两种形式 。 专业的教练服务机构,由注册企业教练组成,为企业管理者提供教练服务。企业内部教练是由专业教练机构协助企业培养的经理人员采用教练式的管理方法进行工作,有些大企业也有以教练为专职工作的经理人。目前,在欧美发达国家已经有很多的提供教练服务公司,很多优秀企业也采用了教练式管理。
四、企业教练与顾问服务的区别
1、顾问(顾问)是某个范畴的专家,当事人聘用顾问服务时其实就是购买他的专业知识,顾问会为当事人的问题寻找答案,提供解决方案。而教练相信大部分时候,最好的答案早已潜藏在当事人的心中,只是当局者迷,暂时发现不到而已。教练是没有既定答案的,所做的是引导当事人了解自己的真实情况,从中发现属于自己的答案。
美国著名企业教练添.高维( Gallwey )曾提到过,如果要当事人学得最多,教练就必须要教得最少。
咨询顾问服务对中国企业是必要的,而教练服务会使已经采用的咨询顾问获得更好的效果。
2、企业教练不是心理治疗
心理治疗 ( 精神疗法 ) 是医治人的心理疾病。心理疾病很多时候是因为过去的经历和创伤所致,主要反映在情绪和偏差的行为上。心理治疗目的在于协助患者解决心理问题,治疗的手法很多时候是清理过去不愉快的经历,建立健康的未来。
教练不是心理治疗师,教练面对的是心理健康的人,当事人并没有任何偏差行为和心理毛病,不太重视当事人的过去经历,不太专注于研究他们的过去动机,只会带出他们的强项,关心他们。
3、企业教练不是辅导
辅导(商议)往往包含着当事人的行为脱离了 " 正轨 " 的意思,所以,辅导的目的是帮助当事人返回 " 正轨 " 。但教练相信,每一个人都有自己的“正轨”,没有所谓偏不偏差,当事人本身都是不具“问题”的正常人,企业教练的目的在于协助他人做得更好,将优点发挥到高峰,而不是将焦点投放在修改缺点上,所以不会强制别人改变。一个好的教练是不会要求当事人做一些他们不愿意、未有心理准备或者不认同的事情。
由于各类书籍对教练的定义不同,有一些书也把教练称为辅导,但其实质内容就是教练。
4、企业教练不是师傅
师傅 ( 良师 ) 是徒弟或后辈学习模仿的对象。师傅是专家,对某行业或某个工序有非常熟练的掌握,带领着后辈增加经验和技巧,师傅是有一套熟练的技巧传授给徒弟的。
事实上,教练不需要对某些工作的技巧有非常独到的掌握,专业的教练是知道如何发挥人的优点,协助当事人订立目标和达成目标。教练最多在场边呐喊,在中场休息时给予鼓励,从来不会入场参赛。教练以第三只眼睛协助当事人看得更远更清楚。当然,企业教练也要掌握企业运营的规则。
5、企业教练不是培训
培训 ( 训练 ) 培训是寻找当事人现在表现和理想表现差距,而这些差距是因为缺少某项技能或是缺乏某些专业知识,然后提供训练或教育以缩窄差距。培训是传授概念和技术,意味着是将一套已有的知识和技能传授在当事人身上。
教练不是培训,教练并不传授概念及技术。很多时,人之所以表现未如理想,不一定因为缺少了某些知识技能,而可能是没有看清事实的真相,没有足够的动机和态度。教练运用教练技术令当事人理清事实真相,找到问题产生的真正原因,增强当事人的动机,问题自然解决。
针对目前中国企业现状,培训服务同咨询顾问一样都是必须的,因为目前正处在普遍缺少技能的阶段,教练服务可以帮助员工找到要实现目标所真正缺少的技能,而使学习更加有效。教练服务与培训服务的结合将创造更大的价值。
五、企业教练是做什么?
企业教练协助企业:解决问题;达成目标;计划行动;改善决定;跟进企业执行行动计划,共同寻找突破障碍的方法和途径。

据国际权威机构欧洲【公众人事管理】调查显示:企业教练对企业业绩的提升在 30%以上,培训和教练技术相结合可以使绩效提高88%。
据美国调查显示,在所有实行 “教练”制度的公司,其中77%认为,采取有系统的教练能够降低员工的流失率及改善整体表现。

TEACHING/RESEARCH INTERESTS:
Professor Saar taught at State University of New York, University of Hartford, Southern Methodist University, Loyola College and is currently at Harvard University and teaching courses in organisational behaviour and leadership at the China Europe International Business School. He is the founder of the Centre for Leadership Development at Harvard University. He has trained federal and state executives and government officials on leadership effectiveness and management development.
He has managed executive education for universities and corporations, and developed workshops on managing change, motivating and influencing others, thinking strategically, and leading in adverse environments.
ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS:
Professor Saar has presented papers on leadership development and been a speaker at civic, industry, and professional associations throughout the United States and abroad.
