Angela Spaxman

Angela Spaxman is a Leadership Coach and one of the pioneers of professional coaching in Hong Kong. She is the Founding President of the Hong Kong International Coaching Community and Past President of the International Association of Coaching. Angela is convinced that organizational leaders need to increase their self-awareness and expand their intentions in order to meet the global challenges of the 21st century. Coaching provides both a system for leadership development and an approach to leadership that exemplifies advanced leadership ability in the modern age.

Bonnie Chan

Bonnie Chan 是亞州及香港首批華人專業教練之一。她專注教練高級管理人員，幫助企業領袖成就自身的改變與成長及強化個人領導力。2005年曾擔任香港國際專業教練協會主席, 她熱心發展教練學本地化，慕求達到「一人一教練」的夢想, 使教練學精神融入各行各業，發揮人人我能的效應。她是首位華人教練取得IAC國際認証，在2011年更成為首位IAC認証考官。著作包括 "Parent Coach" 及「洞察、改變、成功」。

Eva Luk

Eva is a very committed and passionate in pursuing coaching for more than 4 years and her vision is to bring out individual greatness and uniqueness via coaching. Together with her rich people management experiences at work, Eva is capable in helping individual and organizational transformation by employing IAC Coaching Masteries as well as demonstrating her supportive and genuine coaching style. Also as a mother of a 10-year old daughter, Eva is enjoying to play the dual roles of being a mom and a coach. The more Eva practises coaching, the deeper she feels in contributing to more people who can benefit from coaching in walking their life journeys. So, she engages actively in pro-bono coaching for NGOs and participantes in coaching promotional activities in Hong Kong.

Lorraine Lee

Lorraine is passionate about coaching and supporting people to be the best they can be in all areas of their lives. She is a personal and professional development coach who works with a diverse range of managers and professional and she supports leaders who are committed to excellence.

Monica Siu

Having experienced how coaching transformed her from heart to soul, Monica is passionate to explore with her clients the giant within them. In 2010, she started pursuing her career in executive coaching full time. Monica's specialty lies in organization transformation, leadership development and career breakthrough. Prior to being a professional coach, Monica had more than 15 years of of managerial experience in Human Resources Management, Corporate Change Management and Organizational Talent Management with sizable corporations in Greater China.

"Coaching is a guided and structured conversation to assist you with your thinking and goal setting. While this is a supportive and informal engagement, it is not a casual chat."

As a powerful tool for personal development and change, it is a wish of many coaches in our professional community to give back and bring the benefit and experience of coaching to the community at large.

In a first for Hong Kong, the four largest coaching organizations in Hong Kong (HKCO, ICFHK, IACHK, HKICC) have decided to come together to host the first ever inter-organizational Joint Coaching Café.

Date: 29^th June, 2013 (Sat)

Time : 9:30am - 12:30pm (Please check different group's time slot)

Place : Paragon Culture and Conference Center

Address: 23/F, The Pemberton, 22-26 Bonham Strand, Sheung Wan, HK

Fee : HK$50 (Coffee and Tea counter at self-service)

Each session will be 30 minutes long, where each participant will bring an issue he/she wish to be coached on by one of our volunteer coaches. You will be asked to complete a pre-coaching form (a pre-requisition) to help us match you with the most suitable coach and also help your coach have some understanding of your issue in mind. To ensure you gain the most out of the coaching session, only participants who have sent in their form at least 3 days before their session will be allowed to participate.

Programme Objectives

This programme aims to equip coaches with the knowledge on the IAC Coaching Masteries™ and to apply them in a 30-minute coaching session for the IAC^®Certification.

The programme aims to achieve the following objectives:

to understand the definition, effect, key elements and distinctions of the IAC Coaching Masteries™.
to understand the IAC^®Ethical Principles and Code of Ethics.
to use the knowledge of the IAC Coaching Masteries™ for taking the Part 1 (written) Exam.

A A wonderful platform and event was organized by the Hong Kong International Coaching Community, Hong Kong Coaching Outreach and partnering with IAC Coaches to the discussion of IAC Coaching Club Students and different generations to share and build understanding.

The group included experienced coaches, student development officers, professional consultants, human resources and under-graduated students. The discussion was all about the possibilities of introducing coaching to the education field and how to provide impact on the post-90s for their personal development and enhancement.

It triggers me to do another round of asking among coaches around me. Since 2007, there are more coaching schools and new courses are being offered in Hong Kong. It is a appropriate timing to work out more. Please stay tuned.

In a meeting, I was asked to recommend a coaching school to an executive lady.

Of course, I was easily connecting this question with my coaching school. However, my second thought told me that it is a good question to explore with.

My coaching school Is HKU SPACE on" Foundation Certificate in Life Coaching" for 6 months. The program is designed for middle and senior managers in HRD and HRM professions, organization development consultants, social workers and other professionals , etc. who are moving into a coaching role. Coaching for the post-90 in Hong Kong.

Content of presentation

Coaching has been well adapted in the organization for executives' personal and professional development. Will coaching be equally effective if it applies on young people in the college?

Dr. Carol Kaufmann, director of the Institute of Coaching at Mclean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School Affiliate told Bonnie Chan, a HKICC professional coach that she gives coaching to their medical school students and its part of their education and people development program for future doctors. It makes sense to a practicing coach because coaching is proven to be a methodology helping coachees to raise their self-awareness and self-discovery. As a result, coachees are empowered to develop more self-acceptance and personal insights in their lives and workplaces. What if the same practice also happens in Hong Kong?

This workshop is a sharing session from a group of local coaches who have initiated an experiential project in giving pro-bona coaching to college students in Hong Kong who are the post-90s. Coaches will share how they structured the project and what feedback received from students. Participants will be invited to discuss on the possibilities of introducing coaching to the education field and how to provide impact on the post-90s for their personal development.

This is a CD meeting of Hong Kong International Coaching Community (HKICC) in collaboration with Hong Kong Coaching Outreach (HKCO) for Chinese speaking coaches to promote "Coaching" to the general public. Our ultimate goal is to make "Coaching" localized.

IAC HK Chapter decided to upholding the 90s generation. We will:

1. organize coaching activities in college campus

2. organize workshop for people who works with the 90s generation

Year End Report - We Achieved What We Believe:

Offered Pro-bono Coaching support to a College in Hong Kong in April. Assisted them to form the Student Coaching Club, gave coaching workshops and 1 on 1 coaching to 18 students. As a result, 11 college students enrolled IAC Student Memership in Nov. They continue to organize the second round of Student Coaching Club in Nov to pay forward what they have learned to the fellow students.
Offered Pro-bono Peer Coaching support to 4 Student Development Officers in a College who works with the 90s generation. As a result, 1 Student Development Officer enrolled IAC Trainee Membership in Nov.

Moreover, IAC coaches also involved in more activities such as:

6 IAC coaches who have passed Test 1 and have over 2 years of coaching experience are invited to participate in a coaching research namely "The Impact of Chinese Culture on Coaching in Hong Kong." conducted by staff of the HKU SPACE.
IAC coaches are the pioneer in offering campus coaching to the education field of Hong Kong.
IAC coach spoke in the seminar on "Personal Leadership Begins at Home"
IAC coaches participated in Coaching Cafe.
