獎勵自己

有一天,老師談及自已年輕時的荒唐及努力,讓大家對這位長相不像學術人的老師更加刮目相看。在他提起年少自修過程時,其中自我鼓勵方式特別令我興趣。

老 師說道,為了讓自己能符合復習課程進度的要求,通常會在自己完成一段艱難課程後好好放自己一天假,或是看場電影,或是上小館打打牙祭,讓自己徹底放鬆一 下。直至今天,他還是保有這習慣,只是達成的目標及獎勵的方法不同而已。當時在台下聽課的我,不禁為這別出心裁的方法讚歎不已。自己獎勵自己,多好呀!

進 入社會後,參加過多次認識自我的課程,最後所得的評語都是「對自己好一點」。我不禁要反問自己:「我真的那麼嚴肅?」為了放鬆自己,也為了回應大家對我的 評論,開始實施老師的自我獎勵方法。覺得這星期工作太忙太累,找個地方大吃一餐,慰勞自己一下;覺得受了委屈,去聽一場音樂會,發抒一下自己的情緒,因應 不同的狀況,給予自己不同的獎勵。實行後,感覺不一樣了。

藉由一次次自我獎勵,增加了自己的忍受力,也緩和了終日緊繃的情緒,讓自己能從小框框中跳出,重新調整自己的腳步。休息是為了走更長的路,自我獎勵就如同人生加油站,讓自己在日常生活,重新注滿活力。
