Summer Holiday

August is always a month for summer holiday, taking a break, having some family time or a retreat for some searching.

We did not have the Chapter Meeting yesterday.  However, I still went to the usual meeting place, ordered a Jasmine Green tea, be still there for some reflection about the IAC HK Chapter.

• Different walks of people have been attracted to the meeting:   people did not know and want to start learning coaching; people who has justed conmpleted a coaching course from HKU SPACE, CoachU, Tony Robins, WABC course; experienced trainers, consultants and coaches.
• I like the atmosphere because there are respect, trust, curiousity, contribution, serving heart, ideas, forward moving and love.
• Since 2008, so far there were 3 Chinese coaches have attempted the IAC certification and 1 got certified while the other two are very close.  It matches the passing rate of 25% compare with the world attempt.  I foresee there will more Test 2 attempts in end of 2010.  I am looking forward to see the 2nd and 3rd certified coach to be born. 
• The most amazing project we have done was co-authoring a Chinese coaching book.  It is at the finalizing stage.  We want to see the published book in the 2011 IAC Coaching Conference in Taiwan.
• I want to see more coaches can find their good projects in both executive and life coaching.  I personally feel the executive coaching field is in lack of certified coaches.  I want to create a course for some local coaches to demonstrate to them what is and how to do executive coaching through the sharing of my real experience.
