A personal note from HK Chapter President
Dear IAC Members and Readers,
In the last ChineseCertifiedCoach.com teleclass, few coaches shared that it's not an easy road map for beoming a coach and even being a coach. What do you think? I always believe that any goal to achieve wont be at the same level as we are standing on right now. That funny hoping chemical creates one's energy and strength to go for the next day and future.
For those who did not attend the chapter meeting might not be familiar with what I am doing. Taking the opportunity of the coming new year, may I share some of my thoughts with you. If you find anything that we could interact, please put the energy together for the good sake of the coaching profession and the people may benefit from it.
1. I am now writing a coaching book in Chinese about the Being-ness of Coaching from the Chinese respective. I have already finished about 60% and like to furnish it by Feb so that it could reach the readers in Summer, 2009.
2. Some of you might know that I am one of the Certifiers-in-Training in the IAC Certification Board. I and other two CITs have completed succesfully the first stage of training. I would say it is one of the most difficult but fruitful coaching trainings I ever have.
3. As the IAC Certified Coach, I have signed up the IAC Masteries Lisensee and am writing curricumlun and teaching material for the programs. There is also discussion with a continuous learning authority for organizing certification course for coaching that could lead to the IAC Certification stream.
4. As the Honorable Advisor of HKICC, I am fostering the possibility of building the Shanghai Chapter of HKICC. I have already got one HKICC member who is stationing in Shanghai to pair up for the preparation. Moreover, I am setting up a voluntary teaching opportunity for HKICC members to teach coaching to HR executives in Shanghai. It is expected to run the first course in April, 2009. I hope that through this kind of association level exchanges, more Hong Kong coaches could have exposure in Shanghai and China.
5. As the member of the IAC Board of Governors, I will continue coordinating projects about the translations of IAC Masteries in to different language and study the feaibility of having the IAC Certification be compatiable in multi-languages. I would like to to loop the IAC Chapter presidents together for fun and activities development. Moreover, I want to see the realization of an IAC-CC community.
6. As the founder of CoachLite.com, I like to see my business stepping in to the next horizon by coaching more CEOs and business owners, training more IAC-CC certified coaches, developing more coaching materials and products.
7. As a volunteer in the charity and people helping organization, I would like to look for new charity doner who is willing to facilitate HOPE worldwide's help to poor children in China.
8. As an art lover, I would like to contiue pursueing my Su-Embroidery conservation work. Moreover, taking the opportunity of my travelling to Suzhou, to learn the Guqin.
9. As a mother, I would like to see my son enjoying his study in Creative Media while my daughter could fulfill her dream to know God and become a Christian.
10. To myself, I feel lots of love from my family, my colleagues, my friends and the universe. With these blessings, I like to follow the flow to meet people who we share the same dream with me in helping people to get a fulfilled life and have lots of love to pay forward.
cheers, bonnie
