2008 Review and 2009 New Year Resolution

Time flies.  Time is getting close to the end of 2008 and I can feel the seasonal atmosphere around in Hong Kong inspite of the global financial crisis.  50% discount is everywhere.

In Hong Kong, some of the companies, in particular the banking, fiancing and retailing sectors have already voiced their unrelutant measure in cutting off staff.  Property price has alrady been down for 20%.  It is also foreseeing that many factories in China who are export-oriented are facing the difficulties of closing.  Thus, many Chinese workers who came from farming villiages to the manufacturing downtown will be unemployed.

One of my coaching friend who is expert in relationship coaching in Hong Kong also told me that his business volumn has a significant decrease in booking sessions.

Well, there is a Chinese idom saying 時勢出英雄 "Crisis creates heros".  May be I will read it as "Crisis creates Opportunities."  How could coaches help our societies in this crucial moment?  What is our social responsibilities to take up during this here and now timing?

I am glad that HK and SZ IAC local chapters have joinly organized FREE talks to corporate executives and students who will be our future leaders for personal reinforce with coaching concept during this crucial moment.  Our goodwill intention to making coaching with the highest universal excenllent  feuls our energy and possibilities to introducing IAC and her coaching masteries to more people.

I am in time to plan for new year goals and schedule.  There is a good kick off event that we would like to sharing with IAC members in the Greater China and our coaching friends.  We will have our very first annual dinner party in Shenzhen on 9th Jan 2009 purposely to gather all the energy to supporting each other for our greater dream to realize.  Please reserve your time and more details will be released soon.

In year 2009, I plan to have regular monthly HK Chapter meeting as usual and also  implementing seasonal breaks in summer Jul and Winter Dec.  We will also invite different members to join in the facilitation role for excelling their expertise with the group.

Should you have any suggestion for 2009, please do not hesitate to write to me at bonnie@coachlite.com
