Here is a little bit more about my background: Upon graduation from the Keio University of Japan with my major in Human Science in 1985, I worked in Hong Kong, Japan, Canada and China for listed international firms such as Toshiba, Itochu and Unidux. My responsibilities included creating new platforms for business development, advising cross-cultural strategic management teams, and helping Chinese business adapt to a new way of dealing with human resources.
I’ve also worked in an advisory role for the Hong Kong Trade Development Council specializing in bilateral (including Hong Kong/Japan and Hong Kong/USA) economy summit plenary meetings. As you might imagine, this role required a high level of integrity in highly confidential controversial issues. All these meetings involved both local and overseas prominent top businesspeople, the Governor of Hong Kong and the Secretary of Trade for counterpart countries. This experience greatly enriched my inter-personal communication skills and problem-solving know-how.
